Paradise Medical Office

PMO is a county clinic under the Stanislaus County Health Services Agency. This federally qualified health center look-alike clinic is where residents practice outpatient primary care. This 15,000 sq ft facility built in 2003 was specially designed for resident teaching. When in clinic, each resident has two to three examination rooms for exclusive use with dedicated Medical Assistants. Located in West Modesto, PMO provides accessibility to some of the most disadvantaged populations in the community.

Primary Care Continuity Experience

During primary care continuity clinic rotations, on average, residents see 6 patients per clinic during their first year, about 9 patients per clinic during their second year and 12 patients per clinic in their third year. Managing this clinic volume requires learning some efficiency as the patients managed tend to be complex. Patient demand for services remains consistently high as we are one of the few safety net clinics in our area.

Additional Outpatient Clinical Experience

In addition to family medicine clinics, many other outpatient specialty clinics are structured for teaching. These opportunities expand the outpatient training available to residents in our program and include: Pediatrics OB/GYN Sports Medicine Addiction Medicine Diabetes  Psychiatry  Geriatrics Outpatient Procedures  Rainbow Clinic
